How does Homes 4 Wiltshire work?

Please click on this link to view the Homes 4 Wiltshire policy

Please note that the above Policy will be implemented as of June 1st 2010.

You must be registered with Homes 4 Wiltshire to be able to bid for accommodation.  You will need to have a unique housing register application number and your date of birth to be able to bid.  If you are not registered for housing, you can download the attached application form and return it to the Homes 4 Wiltshire team or apply online from this website.

Once you are registered for housing the Homes 4 Wiltshire team will advise you of your reference number and the outcome of your application, you will then be able to bid for accommodation.

Partner Landlords will advertise their vacant or soon to be vacant properties for a 5 day period on this website. The bidding cycle will open at 00:01 on a Thursday and finish at 23:59 on the following Monday.

Each advert will provide a short description of the property, details of the weekly rent, the landlord and provide links to local information websites.

Customers will be required to bid for properties they are interested in. If customers do not apply for accommodation they will not be considered for housing.

To be considered for accommodation customers will be required to express an interest in a property by submitting a bid.

This can be via:

  • Website – www.homes4wiltshire.co.uk
  • Bidline – 0845 270 2500
  • Visiting or ringing your local Wiltshire Council offices
  • Visiting your local library
  • Nominating someone to bid on your behalf e.g. family, friends or support worker etc

Bids should only be placed on properties that an applicant would choose to move to.

Once the adverts are closed and all bids have been submitted the properties will be shortlisted.

Shortlists will be automatically generated and the Homes 4 Wiltshire team will identify the successful applicant. Details of this applicant will be made available to the landlord of the property who will contact the successful applicant within 7-10 working days of receiving the details.
