Discounted sale means that, if you meet certain conditions, you may buy a home at a discount from the open market value.  The discount and restrictions of sale vary from scheme to scheme, as noted in the relevant planning documents, and there are minimum qualifying criteria for the scheme.  To qualify, you must –

• Have a connection to Wiltshire Council’s area via own residency for 2 years+, employment or close family member’s residency for 5 years+ (close family are parents, grandparents, adult siblings and adult children)
• Be unable to meet your own housing need in the marketplace ie unable to purchase a home of the appropriate size on the open market
